Jonathan Santos-Ramos, Interim Executive Director, Callen- Lorde Community Health
Jonathan Santos-Ramos is a returning staff member of Callen-Lorde Community Health Center, most recently as, Senior Director of Organizational Planning & Sustainability and previously working as Director of Prevention, Outreach, and Education from 2001 to 2010. Formerly, he was the Center Director for Community Healthcare Network, Community League Health Center, serving the underserved, uninsured and underinsured and immigrant communities of Upper Manhattan and the South Bronx, where he was responsible for the daily operation and clinical capacity expansion of Community League, which achieved the goal of expanding 250% by May 2015. Previously he held the position of Deputy Director of Business Systems and Strategy, Business Systems and Strategy Unit in the Bureau of HIV Prevention and Control of the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (NYC DOHMH). There, he was responsible for the solicitation and contracting process for a portfolio of close to 300 contracts, as well as the administrative staff business-side management of the eSHARE (electronic system for HIV/AIDS reporting and evaluation) system.
Prior to receiving his Masters in Public Administration from the Executive program at Baruch College, School of Public Affairs and a BA in Women and Gender Studies from Rutgers University, The State University of New Jersey, Jonathan spent most of his high school years at Fajardo Academy, Fajardo, Puerto Rico. In 2016, Jonathan returned to Callen-Lorde to assist in the clinical operation expansion in outer boroughs and inclusion of special populations in the continued growth of Callen-Lorde’s portfolio of services, and has recently been promoted to the Senior Director of Organizational Planning and Sustainability to focus on long term strategic initiatives.
