Human Rights Watch monitors the activities of governments around the world and publishes their findings to expose abusive policies, practices and actions. For eight years, starting in 1997, Cause Effective helped Human Rights Watch plan and implement its annual dinner and International Film Festival Opening Night Benefit Gala. We provided fundraising support, developed detailed timelines, and managed the logistics and event personnel. Under our tutelage, the average attendance at the annual dinner grew to 800 people and grossed more than $800,000. Our consultation helped Human Rights Watch cultivate new and existing donors, raising significant revenue for its programs.
