Sponsors for Educational Opportunity (SEO) prepares young people of color for a variety of professions by providing mentoring, training, internships, and professional and educational development opportunities from middle school through college. The group approached Cause Effective aspiring to use its 20th anniversary celebration as a vehicle to raise $100,000, increase alumni and corporate partner involvement, and develop a unified message across SEO?s varied programs. We worked with SEO on a comprehensive plan that included objectives, timelines and budgets for a series of events, as well as for marketing and promotion materials. We helped SEO execute their Anniversary Weekend, the centerpiece of the campaign, which included a gala, a networking symposium, and an alumni reunion brunch. More than 500 alumni and high profile corporate sponsors and donors participated, and the event grossed over $600,000?more than six times their original goal.
