Over the past decade, Cause Effective and the Hispanic Federation have worked in partnership to help over forty Hispanic organizations throughout the New York Metropolitan area do a better job fulfilling their missions. Each year Cause Effective provides a range of services for six to eight organizations enrolled in the Federation?s Individual Donor Development program. We carefully assess each organization and develop a plan to best meet each group?s unique needs. We schedule and facilitate ?Learning Circles? so that participating groups can learn from each other and cheer each other on. The program has yielded a dramatic increase in dollars raised. For example, El Puente secured its first individual donors, including a $12,000 contribution that brought their total raised to almost $26,000. Another group, Pregones Theater Company, raised $140,000 from individuals for its capital campaign, 40% more than its original $100,000 goal. And the Workplace Project, a member agency of the Hispanic Federation, upgraded its annual gala and raised $50,000 -- a 100% increase over the previous year.
