Kimberly Scelta, Strategic Operations Manager, STRIVE
Kimberly Scelta spent the past six years creating opportunities for individuals to achieve economic mobility through her work at STRIVE, a workforce development nonprofit serving New Yorkers from diverse backgrounds. She started as an intern in her last semester of her undergraduate degree and received a job offer upon graduation after demonstrating her passion and potential for her supporting the organization and its mission. Her internship and initial position included capacity building with community based organizations, outreach, and providing individualized support to clients. Kimberly transitioned into a role focusing on performance management, enabling the organization to develop evidence-based decisions and strategies. In 2020, her role evolved to include overseeing STRIVE’s Health & Wellness Services, which provides mental health education, counseling, and support groups for students. She recently earned her Master of Public Administration with a specialization in Management and Operations from CUNY John Jay College of Criminal Justice.
