Ayesha George, Executive Director, STRIVE New York
Ayesha comes to STRIVE with over 20 years of program leadership and community engagement experience. Ayesha is deeply committed to equity and sees gainful employment as a key element in sustainable economic upward mobility. As a Senior Director at FEGS, Ayesha led multiple teams to success in assisting young adults with substantial barriers to completing a high school education, gaining employment, and entering post-secondary education. At the New York City Department of Education, Ayesha held a variety of family & community engagement leadership roles, most recently overseeing family engagement across Manhattan. Earlier professional experiences include serving as Community Director for March of Dimes and Youth Market Director for the American Heart Association. Ayesha holds a Bachelor of Science from Ball State University and a Master of Arts in the Social Foundations of Education from Eastern Michigan University.
