Hazel Applewhite is the COO at Ironbound Community Corporation (ICC)- A Non for Profit located in the Ironbound section of Newark whose mission is to engage and empower individuals, families, and groups in realizing their aspirations and, together, work to create a just, vibrant and sustainable community. Hazel serves as a “servant leader” for over 10 years in communities where she has been a bold agent for change. Hazel is passionate about social change in communities that are underserved and vulnerable. Hazel has 15+ years of non for profit experience and holds a BA in Business and a Master’s in Business Administration.
