Naima Fine Iles, Director of High School Program, Summer Search
I am an experienced Program Director with a demonstrated history of working in the non-profit organization management industry and am passionate about undoing systems of oppression and creating a just world for students and communities of color. I am also fiercely committed to the liberation of Black and Brown communities from White Supremacy and I fundamentally believe that the personal is political. As a leader, I believe our biggest asset is our empathy and our support. It's about connecting our staff to resources, understanding the nuances of life and work, and finding the balance of well-being amidst traumatic events. I'm attentive to the process, to bringing our multiple truths and intersections of identity into work and re-shaping who we want to be, and how we wish to show up day in and day out. As a leader, my biggest strengths are to bring teams and ideas together, to create from scratch the way we wish to be in the world and to devise a plan for a more inclusive space for our communities.
