Nicole Nurse, Senior VP for Regulatory Affairs, Chief HR Officer, Institute for Family Health
Nicole Nurse, Chief Human Resource Officer and Senior Vice President for Regulatory Affairs at The Institute for Family Health. Fondly known as “nurse-nurse” Ms. Nurse is a registered nurse with over thirty years of healthcare experience. She holds a BSN from University of Phoenix and an MBA from Jones International University where she graduated Magna Cum Laude “4.0”. During her twenty-year tenure with the Institute has held different positions -Director of Nursing, AVP of Nursing, VP of Nursing, Sr VP of clinical Affairs, Sr VP for Regulatory Affairs and HR, and Chief Human Resource Officer and Sr VP for Regulatory Affairs. In these varied titles Ms. Nurse successfully leads the Institute through external regulatory review including Joint Commission, HRSA, NCQA PCHM, Article 28 DOH site visits, DOL inquires and reviews. She chairs the organizations regulatory compliance , infection control and DEI committees. Participates on Credentialing, CQI and risk management committees. As the CHRO, she writes the originations, employee handbook, negotiates union contracts and employee’s compensation and benefit packages. In 2009, Ms. Nurse was honored with the Rosemarie Forstner Award from the Community Health Center Association of New York State for her work to ensure clinical excellence in underserved communities. This recognition was related to being the first to successfully obtain NCQA level III recognition for an FQHC in NYS.
