Yvonne Garcia joined the Cause Effective team in 2021 as a results-oriented, strategic fundraiser with over 20 years of experience in the nonprofit cultural, educational and social sectors. She has consistently built effective development teams, raising private and public funds and designing and implementing fundraising campaigns. Her range of experience also includes planning and organizing cultivation events, benefits and auctions raising over $1 million, Board development, major gifts campaigns and grants writing. She is currently providing strategic planning and fundraising counsel to a range of local, national and international organizations.

Yvonne’s prior fundraising roles include Broadway Housing Communities, the Bronx Museum of the Arts, Rubin Museum of Art, Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum, Art in General, and Harlem School of the Arts, among others. Yvonne holds a Master of Arts in Arts Administration from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Art History and Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting from Cornell University. A native of Puerto Rico, Yvonne lives in New York City with her daughter, who shares her passion for the arts and social change.
