Cynthia Reddrick

Cynthia Reddrick joined Cause Effective in 2017. Her work centers on coaching, cohort-building and fundraising growth strategy in partnership with nonprofit leaders, staff and board members. In client engagements representing various nonprofit mission areas and types, from arts & cultural institutions to women’s and girls’ causes and national membership organizations to community-based advocacy groups, Cynthia applies her depth of experience in fundraising management, communications and marketing within government and nonprofit sectors which spans over 20 years.

Over the past decade, Cynthia has also been tapped to consult a range of causes within environmental activism and healthcare access. With an emphasis on major gifts development, donor stewardship and campaign planning/strategy, Cynthia’s expertise has contributed to raising over $200 million in new planned gift pledges. Cynthia directed donor cultivation and solicitation strategies in her role as Senior Marketing Associate in the Office of Gift Planning at the ACLU Foundation. Prior to entering the nonprofit sector, Cynthia served as a Vice President at the New York City Economic Development Corporation where she led targeted marketing efforts for key revenue-generating initiatives across all five boroughs. She holds an MA from New York University's Gallatin School of Individualized Study with a concentration in gender studies and philanthropy, and a BA in Journalism from Drake University. Cynthia’s professional affiliations include the Association of Fundraising Professionals-NYC chapter, Women in Development-NY, the Association for Research on Nonprofit Organizations and Voluntary Action (ARNOVA), the National Association of Charitable Gift Planners, and the Philanthropic Planning Group of Greater New York (PPGGNY) where she serves on PPGGNY’s Programs Committee.
