Jessica Scheer
Jessica Scheer joined the Cause Effective team in 2021 to support social sector organizations with strategic development and management support so they can meet the present and future needs of their causes and communities. As a consultant, she has helped clients create high-value and sustainable new teams and programs that align with their core strengths and values.Through her career, she has helped organizations raise millions of dollars and executed dozens of experiential and digital engagement campaigns reaching millions.
Prior to her consulting role, she served as the COO for the National Eating Disorders Association. There she strengthened the financial operations, created the organization’s first impact measurement system, and led the program and development teams through new strategic growth. Previously, she was the inaugural Executive Director for the EB Research Partnership, where she enacted the organization’s first fundraising system and supervised successful digital fundraising and major gift campaigns, raising millions for critical medical research needs. Before her work with the EB Research Partnership, Jessica worked in leadership positions at Lady Gaga’s Born This Way Foundation and DoSomething.org, optimizing programs and raising $3M in growth capital. She started her career in development positions with Greyston Foundation, a noted social enterprise and social service organization, and the Nonprofit Finance Fund. Jessica holds a BA in Government from Clark University and an MS in Nonprofit Management from The New School.
