Shyla Rivera
Shyla Rivera joined Cause Effective in 2012. She directs the entire spectrum of Cause Effective’s operations, human resources, finance, technology, and administration, with a nuanced focus on providing seamless support to programming and fundraising initiatives. She also serves as liaison to the board of directors. Her wealth of experience in operations, office management and administrative support exceeds 20 years of driving organizational excellence, complemented by over 15 years of dedicated expertise in human resource management. Shyla brings a wealth of experience in professional coaching, mentoring, and career training, leveraging her expertise to empower others in advancing their professional trajectories. Shyla has worked at Rainforest Alliance, American Cancer Society, and the Upper Manhattan Empowerment Zone.
Shyla is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), the International Association of Administrative Professional, and a lifetime member of the Beta Gamma Sigma International Business Honor Society. She is a New York State Notary Public and holds certifications as a SHRM-Certified Professional (SHRM-CP), a Certified Nonprofit Accounting Professional through BDO USA, and a Certified Diversity Professional through The National Diversity Council (NDCCDP).
Shyla's holds a Bachelor of Science degree from SUNY Empire State College in Business, Management, and Economics with a specialized concentration in Human Resource Management, and an Executive Master of Science in Human Resource Management from Baruch College's Zicklin School of Business.
